Computer right click/ Properties / Advanced System Settings / Hardware / Device Installation Settings / Check Never install drivers from Windows Update.
Try installing the driver from the below site firstly - it may uninstall the generic driver automatically with the installer, if it wont - uninstall the driver in device manager, and reboot, hopefully, the above settings will prevent it from installing.
If the driver wont install normally because of a OS mismatch do the following
To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.

go to device manager find the bluetooth device. Uninstall it. Dont re-boot. Install the correct driver.

    Good luck

So you are saying that the driver you installed manually is replaced automatically by win 7 on reboot. does the manual driver work before reboot? what is its name and version?

You could try the 32 bit driver version - it will install on the 64 bit OS - the version for it is v6.0.1.5000.
Hmmn this was an error by me I thought I read some where 32 bit drivers would install on a 64bit OS, but today I binged the question, and found this is not the case, and 32 bit drivers wont install on a 64bit OS.
And to confirm this I searched Microsoft and found it to be true also -
