    Can't install Realtek drivers

    Hi all

I recently got a new computer with HP Beats audio and IDT audio driver.
Both of them suck; HP Beats audio=worst ever audio configuration screen.
So I wanted to install Realtek, because they rock.
I downloaded the latest Realtek HD driver on the Realtek website.
And installed it, atleast that is what I tried. After the installation it restarted and there was no driver.
It showed up in the program's list of your configuration screen (dunno it English name, I'm Dutch). But when I search for it in the start menu I get no results. When I go to the driver folder of realtek (programfiles(x86)\Realtek\Audio) there is just an update file. Witch I cant run.

In my device manager I have an IDT HD codec and about 3-4 Nvidia drivers (why?) and a
"WinTV DVB-T (Model 133xxx)", but no Realtek.

Please help me, think I can provide screen shots and other data.
    Thanks in advance

    Nvidia GTX 550 Ti

Have you checked in Device Manager to see if anything shows up there?

What MB do you have? Are you using the integrated sound card, or a PCI card? Did it come with RealTek codec (the MB). You can download drivers all day, but if you don't have the software/hardware on your system for them they won't work.

Sidiox , I may be totally wrong here but does the beats audio run on realtek drivers, I was under the impression the audio was a collaboration of intel and HP ?

    I think you're right Pebbly.

I recently gave my HP Pavilion with Beats audio to one of my grandchildren and I don't recall it using Realtek hardware.

I dont exactly know what you mean.
But if you think HP Beats has the realtek driver then I think you are wrong. When I bought this computer it had no Realtek, just IDT and Hp Beats.

Also as I said before the map drivers from Realtek (after installing) is empty (only update file/program).

And well I dont like Hp Beats, the sound is great but the controle screen is messed up.

Sidiox, we are suggesting that HP Beats does NOT use Realtek audio.
