Strange driver message When I open a video file with WMP, I get this strange message (see picture). Despite the message, the video plays correctly though. This message does not occur with the WMC or VLC.
The message comes regardless from which HDD or SSD I play the video. So it cannot be a disk driver problem. My Display adaptor driver and my Monitor driver (HP w2207h) are on the latest level. And there are no yellow triangles with any other device in Device Manager.
I don't know where to look any more. Any suggestions?
PS: "Web Help" is useless. | My System Specs |

Have you installed a codec pack like Windows 7 Codec Pack to enable WMP to play more formats? What version of WMP is installed on the computer?
There are lots of sites tendering advise in this matter at https://www.google.com/#hl=en&sclien...w=1280&bih=841 but http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...b-2fac193e6395 may be useful. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Pro with SP1 32bit Motherboard Intel D845GVS1 X86-based PC Memory 2 gigs of RAM Graphics Card Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller Sound Card Realtek AC'97 Audio Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 931BF Black 19" LCD Monitor Screen Resolution 1280X960 Keyboard COMPAQ Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse iBall Laser Precise Speedster Hard Drives 1. The icon on the message points to a device that has been set up to sync with WMP, for example, a portable media player. Do you have (or have you had) something like that attached to your system? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus N73SV OS Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1 CPU Core i7-2630QM Motherboard Intel HM 65 Memory 6 GB DDR3 Graphics Card Nvidia GT 540M / Intel HD 3000 - Optimus switching Sound Card HD Audio (Intel Azalia/Realtek) ALC269 Monitor(s) Displays LED flat panel Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Hard Drives 2x Seagate Momentus 640 GB - 1,28 TB in total Internet Speed 4 MB/256 kbps Other Info External HDs

Do you have (or have you had) something like that attached to your system? Teerex, Thanks. That was the problem. There was a USB stick attached. I have never set it up for sync, but the WMP seems to assume that by default. After removing the stick, the message does not occur any more. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 Strange driver message problems?
