Drivers Missing After WIN 7 Reinstalled

I have re-installed WIN 7 on my laptop. I did not have the cd's from Dell, so I purchased and used a WIN 7 disc. After re-installing WIN 7, my internet connection was not functioning. Under Device Manager, the following had yellow warning signs next to them:

Ethernet Controller
Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N+WiMax 6250
Network Controller
PCI Simple Communications Controller.

I am assuming that these devices are missing the drivers required for their operation. I tried running Intel_My_WiFi_Dashboard_15.1.1_s64. It told me I needed to install dotNetFx40_Full_Setup. I attempted to run this program, but a lack of an internet connection prevented it from completing. I am unsure of what to try next. Any help would be appreciated.

If this has already been answered under another post, I apologize for re-posting, and would be more then glad to read the original thread if someone can post a link.

Thank you for any help you have,

Desperate User.

Go to the Dell support site for your model and download the appropriate drivers.

If you enter the service Tag number, it will tell you what was installed and recommend the right drivers.

Welcome to the forum,

If you can post the full model # of your laptop that would help.

Also searching for drivers by the hardware ID is usually a good way to find them.

Here is a tutorial to locate the hardware ID's if you want to post those we can help you find them.

My apologies on the model number. It is a dell Studio 1735.

@PBcopter: I went to the dell site as instructed and put in my model number. It told me I needed to download R301250.exe. I did so on another laptop, put it on a flash drive, and downloaded from there onto the Studio 1735.

Once on the laptop, I ran 7010_A11. After it ran, it posted the following message:

The Current system BIOS is the same version (or newer) then the version you are trying to flash, so the BIOS will not be changed.

Did I download the wrong file, or do I need to tell the laptop where to find the drivers so they can operate?

Thank you for your help!

All the drivers that are available can be had here: Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]

Just be aware, the link is for Dell's US market so if you live elsewhere you'll need to choose the correct region from the link on the website.

Be aware also that Dell only has Windows Vista drivers for your model, so don't be surprised if you don't get exactly what you want.

Make sure you choose 32-bit or 64-bit drivers as applicable to your operating system.

It may be you should have bought a Windows Vista DVD rather than a Windows 7 one.

I'd forget about that BIOS, you need drivers.

All I see for that model are Vista drivers but they usually work just fine.

If you want to look through them, here's the page,

Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]

If you post the hardware ID's we can be more specific with our help.

I went to the network adaptors section, but i did not see the 11/a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter file. All I have listed under network adapoters is

Intel(r) Centrino(r) Advanced N 6250 AGN
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2

I also went back and looked for drivers. I found at least one driver that I would need: after installing it the yellow warning sign for Network Controller had disappeared from the manage devices list. In fact Network COntroller no longer appears at all. The only three remaining devices listed with a yellow cation are

Ethernet Controlls
Intel(r) Centrino(r) advanced N wimax 6250
PCI simple communiations center

All three of these are listed under a section in device manager titled "other devices"

thanks again for your assistance.
