Built-in ASUS Bluetooth adapter refuses to install  

A couple of weeks ago, I was messing around with using a PS3 controller as a computer controller through Bluetooth. This, of course required a lot of messing with drivers. I tried both PPJoy and Motionjoy. I wasn't having any luck with PPJoy, so when I got MotionJoy, it worked like a charm. I remember doing something like registering a 'psudo' driver in order to let the controller work properly. Sometime after getting it all working, I rebooted the machine and my Bluetooth driver no longer worked. I tried reinstalling from the manufacturer disk (which has always worked before) with no luck. Is there any way to fix this because now my computer doesn't even recognize it under Device Manager (although Linux sees it and uses it just fine, so I know it's not dead hardware)? Any suggestions?

I have an ASUS F1A75-I Deluxe mother board, from which I don't know exactly what type of Bluetooth. I'm running Win7 64-Bit. The text file included is one generated from Speccy, which provides more verbose information about my machine...

If you haven't instead of what is on the motherboard disk, try the latest from Asus,

Just tried this to no avail. The Bluetooth Suite that's supposed to show up at boot still doesn't. Also, I tried manually opening it through the start menu with no success.

Maybe a silly question the bluetooth device is switched on and enabled?

Did the drivers install without errors?

Also please try a system restore to before the time that the issue started.

Okay... A few answers...

The blbuetooth adapter is lit up. I can't truly tell if it's running due to the fact that drivers won't let me control it. Although it does run fine in Linux as stated above.

Second, the installer runs without errors, but it takes over half an hour to run which is atypical of previous installs.

Lastly, I tried a system restore a few hours after it had stopped working and it still did not work. Now that it has been weeks (and considering I'm a heavy modder), I really can't remember exactly when it was or how many things I've modded that would be lost in a system restore, so that's kind of out of the question at this point.

However, an idea that I don't know how to implement... Is there any way I could install the drivers on a virtual machine and copy those files onto my host machine? I just wouldn't know which files I need to copy...

You would check in device manager under bluetooth and under network adapters for any bluetooth devices allshould read" This device is working properly"

Heavy modder ok restore to a month or so previously.

Before you re-installed the driver did you uninstall the bluetooth driver from programs and features.

You mentioned pseudo drivers did you mean run the installation under compatiblity mode before installing.

By all means install in a virtual machine and copy settings over but as for copying program not sure that is really feasible.
