Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H drivers not loading

I am looking for drivers for Ethernet Controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus Controller, and 2 Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controllers. When I use update driver in the Device Manager, they will not load automatically. I do not find them on the Gigabyte or Intel websites.

Have you seen this page on the Gigabyte site for your MB drivers?
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77X-UD3H (rev. 1.0)

On that page select from the "Choose your OS" dropdown list.
If the drivers you want are available there, have you downloaded them?

Have you tried updating drivers using "Browse my computer for driver Software" rather than "load automatically"?

Thanks

I have done as you suggested several times. It is a very new motherboard - less than a month old. My BIOS is F5 and it does not show up on Gigabyte's website. Not sure why and they are not answering my request for help. I am somewhat disappointed in their lack of response, but I do like the board. I am not actually having problems with anything except 4 3.0 USB ports that do not work. I don't know if this driver problem is causing that or I need other help. As you might surmise, I put this computer together myself.
Thanks for the quick response. If I find a solution I will post it here as well.

Hi,

As David explained, you need to select your OS from the dropdown list. These are the latest BIOS updates, so F5 is pretty old.

And these are some of the drivers - I would defintealy have a look at those.

There are also some updated USB3 drivers there too:

Ok, it sounds like you might have a newer "Rev version" than what i found and linked.
The link i gave is for (rev. 1.0)

I've found some manufactures sometimes have different downloads available at different sites...
I.E. The Global download site may have more/newer downloads available than the US download site...

I'm not sure if Gigabyte does that, but if I find anything newer I'll post back with the info.

I just saw Golden's post, and maybe that explanation is clearer than my original post...

I'll still post what i say here in case it is relevant...
I did not see F5 bios listed at all, that's why i think you may have a newer "Rev" MB...

Hi Golden and David,
Thanks for the advice. I could have missed something, but so far I have done as you indicate.
I downloaded all of the updates available on the site that Golden has shown, well except the VGA update. I don't use it The information on the board and in Properties suggest I have Rev 1.0. I am confused about the BIOS version as well. The board was built in March 2012 according to dates imprinted on it. Gigabyte states in some areas to use the 'Asia' link for downloads. I am going to try that tomorrow, but just save the ZIP files in a folder. I do have the x64 processor as well.

When you get a newly released motherboard you will need to keep checking their website for new drivers and BIOS versions. These usually will update with new ones fairly often at first. When they get feedback on issues they will fix them with new drivers and new BIOS.

The Gigabyte motherboard site will always list the motherboard versions alternatives at the top center:

GA-Z77X-UD3H (rev. 1.0) - indicates no other versions are available

GA-Z68XP-UD3 (rev. 1.3) - when more than one version link is listed there are new versions available
other version : rev. 1.0 - all other versions of the motherboard will be listed (with links) under the current listing.

All motherboards seem to ship with older BIOS versions, check the change logs or Description to see if a new version may help your issue.
"Improve system compatibility" is a general statement but usually means there are several known issues that have been fixed.
My impression when they don't list previous BIOS versions is that they are faulty and not recommended. Most motherboard BIOS lists are quite long, when older ones are missing it makes me think they are very suspect.

I Have found the solution finally

After owning this board for about a year I have finally found a solution to the via usb problems. In the bios disable intel usb 2. I don't know why this works nor do I care. Im just happy I can finally use my usb ports. ga-z77x-ud3h doesn't have any usb 2 so disabling it doesn't pertain to me.
