Nokia 3230 USB modem driver problem.

    Hi all,
I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate X86, dual boot with windows XP on my PC. I sometimes use a Nokia 3230 USB modem to access the internet on my PC. It all worked fine on Windows XP with Nokia PC suite version 6. I installed the same version on Windows 7 with compatibility of Windows XP. Initially it worked fine but later it started to show 'Nokia 3230 Modem not present'. I thought it was a compatibility issue, so i installed a later version (7.1.180.64) for Windows 7. Now whenever I try to connect I get an error message 'remote computer failed to respond'.
I have tried all the possible troubleshooting but nothing worked. Ultimately I found a solution, whenever i want to connect, I have to remove the modem by going to Phone and Modem option in control panel and add it again. Once its installed, it connects. This is what I have to do every time.
Nokia PC suite supports Nokia 3230,which Nokia Ovi Suite doesn't.
Can somebody please tell me whats happening? I have installed the same version on windows XP SP3, its the same. I have even tried different versions of Nokia connectivity cable drivers but It just won't work.
Please Help me at an earliest.
    Thanks and regards.

    Thanks for your reply Hanna.

At first I thought there was a problem with driver version. I have been trying out different versions of Nokia connectivity cable drivers but its still the same. I have even tried the version mentioned by you, its not working either. I am aware that the version of Nokia PC suite doesn't matter as all that matters is the version of Nokia connectivity cable drivers (CCD). I have tried many versions of CCDs available online but its still the same.
This problem has started in windows XP SP3 too. Whenever I try to connect in Win XP, I get an error: 'Error 721, Connection to the remote computer was terminated'. Every time I want to connect I have to reinstall the Nokia modem. I have been a techie all my life but this is something weird, I am experiencing for the first time. Please let me know if anything else can be done apart from installing different versions.
