driver for SMC8035TX win7 required

Older notebook, Tecra A5. Lan slot is shot, using my PCMCIA slot with PC card.
SMC8035TX. Unable to find driver newer than XP. Need Win7 driver.
All search results yeilded either old drivers or annoying Driver agent type redirects.

Appreciate any help

Hello MercurialGuy and welcome to Seven Forums.

The bad news is it doesn't appear that this particular driver has been updated since XP. The last release I found was January 2004 on the developer's website (SMC Networks).

SMC Networks - SUPPORT EN_USA

Two possibilities. Try installing the driver in Compatibility Mode. Or contact SMC to see if they have any suggestions.

driver for SMC8035TX win7 required..

Thank you for your prompt and informative reply,
I visited the SMC site and inputed the required information..except the model number, which is required. I have vision problems.
If anyone on the forum has an SMC8035TX PCMCIA ethernet adapter and can convey the model number, It's a long shot...but worth a try.

Many Thanks,
MercurialGuy
