| | Intel Rapid Storage Drivers A suite of drivers was provided with my Asus motherboard. I could see a good reason for installing most of them but not the Rapid Storage set as I never intend to have a raid setup. After reading several posts on this forum, I am wondering whether there may be other reasons for installing these drivers. I would be pleased if someone could enlighten me. Thanks Keith |

| | Hello Keith, The Intel RST drivers also include AHCI for your SATA devices. It is recommended to be installed.  |

| | Thanks for the quick reply Brink. Possibly the source of some of my problems I am now wondering. I also picked up they should be installed before first boot so will make sure I do that well. Keith |
