Windows 7: Battlefield 3 will not run despite .dll fix

okay, so when i first tried to run battlefield 3, it told me something about AWC.dll, so i installed that in system32 and syswow64, but the game came up with the same error. I then pasted the AWC.dll into the game install folder, and the error message went away - but now it will not even start the game, and displays nothing new on the screen (no error message etc). Please help..?
