    Logitech SetPoint installation

I have a Cordless Logitech Mouse and I need SetPoint 4.70 installed in order to be able to set my buttons. The problem is that I am unable to get it installed, I tried the compatibility wizard and set it on Windows Vista, Xp SP2 and still no luck. I get the following error message:

    Setpoint4.70 is for XP/Vista.
I cannot find a Logitech driver for Win7.
Mine is MS and they do one, but that doesn't help you.
Although the default Windows (7) driver should work for basic mousing/keying.

    Setpoint

Can't remember exactly how I installed, i.e. whether it was in compatibility mode or just a straight install but as you can see from my screen shots I have it installed. Two points, it is the UK version, I think, and I am running on x64 which might help in some way.

I seem to remember that error message. Try downloading the software again making sure you have the right version x64/x86 and re-install. I have it working on 2 machines, my HTPC and my 'business' PC so it should be OK.

I downloaded 4.7 and it installed fine but I think people were having problems with it not saving game settings within mouseware and not being able to have it remember setpoint implementation so people were going back to 4.6. Not sure if they resloved the problems with 4.7 yet.

Ok, this is strange...I tried everything, re-download, run in compatibility mode, force install...and still nothing, I even tried version 4.6 and it still says that some components are unable to install and I get the "Send/Don't Send" screen. I am starting to think that is something wrong with my Microsoft Installer because I got a similar error trying to uninstall KAV Win7 edition...Does anybody knows a way to repair the Microsoft Installer Pack?

I've got 4.7.213 and it installed okay. The only thing is I only see a generic gray mouse instead of my MX510, even though it shows up in the dropdown menu correctly.
