Hi there I'm a complete new noob at Seven Forums and who tries desperately to find free stuff online like installing free windows 7, in this case I installed windows 7 on a Sony VAIO that had a XP home premium on it before, so when i was all high and mighty about it, i found out that there was a black boarder that ran across the screenon the left and right there's at least an 1" inch black boarder and on the top and bottom it's around 2mm wide here's the run down:
-yes i set the resolution to maximum (1024x768)
-the only adapter is the "Standard VGA Adapter" which has been since i started Windows 7
-a pop-up came up on Action Center saying that there was a problem with the video card and the adapter i had was a xpdm
-Intel
Driver update utility is taking forever to scan my pc
-i also noticed that there was a Video Controller Driver not assign or could be updated (i don't know what this is)
-i downloaded other driver scanners (or what ever) and it said i needed to update a driver that was out of date but i had to pay (ME NO PAY)

so i plan on giving up and return to XP if so can you tell me how to go back
Thank you
Sincerly,
ProGmistro
