Gateway NV59c laptop thinks touchpad is a wheel mouse
I have a Gateway NV59c63u running Windows 7 64bit. I don't want to use a mouse, I like the touchpad, except I have been trying to figure out how to disable the tap to click feature on the touchpad. Each time I download, install and restart with what I am thinking are the appropriate drivers for the touchpad, the computer thinks the touchpad is a wheel mouse. I have visited gateway, downloaded both drivers there, and restarted...same issue. I went to the synaptec site and downloaded the drivers there and restarted...same issue. I even look under the device manager and it says it has a touchpad driver installed, then when I go to the mouse properties, under the hardware profile it says wheel mouse. I don't get it.
How do I fix this?
