Recently I built a custom desktop for a friend of mind and installed everything he needed. The os on that system is Windows 7 64-bit. The other day, he emailed me explaining he had a problem printing to this printer from his desktop. Tonight, I called him and worked him through running remote desktop so I could work on his computer remotely(since he lives 4 hours away). I tried everything I could, but couldn't get the printer to actually work. Whenever I print something, in the printing information screen, it tells me an error almost immediately, which leads me to believe that there is a compatibility or driver
issue as opposed to the printer itself, especially because it worked on his old desktop. I re-installed the drivers
, had him try different wires and usb ports, but yet there is still a problem. According to the troubleshooter, it says there is a problem with either the wire or the printer itself. I even changed the printing port of the computer within Windows and that didn't help. I see it very unlikely to be either. Is there anyone else with this problem or anyone that might have a solution to it?
P.S. He has three printers hooked up, so there may be some conflict there?
Any Help will be appreciated!
