Okay, so I just installed Windows 7 and found that it removed the Dell Touchpad from my list of devices under Control Panel>Hardware.
When I click on the default "mouse" under "devices and printers" it gives me a short list of options, but unfortunately, turning off Tap-to-Click is not one of them.
I did some searching online and found out it was probably a driver problem, so I found and downloaded the latest Synaptic touchpad drivers and they installed just fine. This added a Touchpad icon to the bottom right taskbar.
One of the options under this icon is "Tap to Click", however it is grayed out and therefore unclickable, so I'm still unable to turn Tap-to-Click off.
I hate Tap-to-Click with a passion, so any help getting it turned off would be greatly appreciated.
