coprocessor -no driver /no sound

Location :PCI bus 0, device 1, function 3 .
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

The above is found in my Device Manager under "Other Devices" "coprocessors" . I have already tried to install drivers for my sound card (Win 7 drivers are available)but when I do , Im told they dont need to be updated, I have the latest edition. I assumed the coprocessor was my sound card because I dont have any sound. Im tempted to do a system restore ! My m/b is a MSI K9N2 Diamond.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

Co-processor is CPU/chipset related. Do you have access to the mobo website?

It is freaky how inter-related all the chips are. Did your sound come back?

Today, I re-enabled UAC and my volume control got wonky.

I just got my sound back after messing with it for the last 15 minutes. Sometimes I cant figure out why something went wrong or what I did to fix it ! I thank you for your assistance ! The coprocessor error is now fixed and I have sound on my Windows 7 PC. What more could a man ask ? Ha !

Come to think of it, I think I did the same thing . I was continually reminded to re-enable UAC and I think I did just that out of frustration , today. Like I said...sometimes I dont know what I did to cause or fix a problem !
