Windows 7: HP PSC 2410 Photosmart All-in-One

Hi

I have a HP PSC 2410 Photosmart All-in-One printer but Windows 7 does not install any print driver for the device therefore I can't print. Tried going through the Troubleshoot option and connecting to Windows Update to no avail . Any ideas anyone?

You may want to have a look Here and see if your question is answered. There is detailed info on how to get the device installed on Vista but the principle is the same.

Already checked out HP site for the driver. They say HP PSC 2400 driver is available through Windows update which of course it is not. Generic driver installed for Vista OS.
Why cant HP just release a driver that is compatible

Finally got Windows Update to recognise the incompatibility and resolve it. Now 2410 All-in-one works fine

I will check home machine, running Windows 7, for kb article that windows updater used to provide the solution. Check back in the next few days.

I have tried all of the links and steps listed here to get my hp 2410 photosmart working with windows 7 and still haven't had any success.. Any other suggestions??
