Intel Rapid Storage Controller shut down my SD Card reader & DVD drive
Don't know how it came to this but I got a pop up message saying Intel Rapid Storage Controller shut down the SD Card reader. Why would it do that? It doesn't show now in the computer or device manager. Lucky for me I did a restore and got it back but the Intel still took it out again.
I uninstalled the Intel Rapid Storage software from uninstall programs and It seems to be holding (SD card still showing and useable) it's own.
At this point I'd like to take out more of the Intel managment software etc. but I should see how this works..
Any ideas on why IRST should shut down my SD card reader?
