Windows 7 - VGN-SZ770N WebCamera Driver

Hi There!

Trying to find a way to get the webcamera on my viao working with skype.

Windows 7 Installed USB Video Device but it doesn't work with any application.

Hardware ID's are :

USB\VID_05CA&PID_183A&MI_00

I would really appreciate anyone would could point me in the direction of the right x64 driver for this?

Anyone? I would be happy to pay for a driver solution for this device.

When you installed Windows 7 did you also install the camera driver from this site? Sony eSupport - VGN-SZ770N - Software Updates & Drivers

Skype should pick it up automatically. If it didn't, you will have to go into Skype's options and set it manually.

skype see's the camera, but it says it has an unknown problem and won't display.

Have you tried reinstalling the driver? It may be corrupt. You can uninstall the driver in "Device Manager" under "Imaging Devices" and reinstall the driver that comes from Sony's site mentioned in my first post. I see that Sony doesn't have a Windows 7 driver for your model so I would go for the Vista driver.
