    Catalyst 12.8 Disabled Aero

Since I installed the catalyst 12.8 catalyst beta drivers that came out today for my ATI HD7950 I have been stuck without Aero (The bad looking windows 98 style theme :P). Has any one had an issue like this or does anyone know what might be causing it?

    Thanks

Nope havn't had any issues and i run a pair of 7970's maybe you need to uninstall and re install the driver everything thus far has been gold and it even stop the driver debacle that it stop responding and has recovered as well

try to re install it after a uninstall and a driver sweep and see if that has corrected the issue or reinstall the same driver again with out uninstall and see if it corrects the issue i have no idea why aero would turn off like that but defenitly driver related

I did that, nothing changed. It may just require me to restart but I have quite a few things running at the moment so I dont want to do that just yet.

You can also try troubleshooting aero.

    • Click on the start
    • Type Aero and you should see Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects.
    • Run the troubleshooter.

Seems to have worked. I know normally this is the first thing you should try but like I said I had several things running and would have liked it if there was another solution :P Thanks for the help though.
