Troubles with new laptop

Alright guys, so here's my deal.

I bought a new Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 from the lenovo website to replace my old computer. I backed up all my files onto an external hd to transfer over. When I got my laptop, it was supposed to have W7 Home premium 64-bit installed, but when I booted it, it said something like "windows could not be installed, please restart your computer" and kept doing that. So I downloaded the Windows 7 ISO and burned to a disc. I reformatted the primary partition and installed windows. I can boot into windows now, however I believe it is without drivers. I am unable to connect to a wireless network because it won't detect any, as well as a wired network. can anyone offer me some assistance?

I would have been more than a little upset about it not booting up but it seems you're past that now,

Have you tried the drivers from here,

Lenovo Support - Drivers & Software (US)

You can put them on a flash drive and transfer them to your laptop.

I downloaded a wireless driver and it seemed to do absolutely nothing when I ran it. I'll try looking more in depth.

Yeah, it's really not doing anything. I installed the driver to my computer and ran the setup and it just sits there.

I see three different wireless drivers.

Look in device manager to see the name and make sure you are getting the right one.

You may have to try the chipset drivers first.

I installed the chipset driver from Lenovo a few minutes ago and restarted, it seems to have not made any progress for me.

As derekimo rightly states there are 3 wifi drivers and 2 ethernet drivers in 32 and 64bit flavours on Lenovos' website, if you need help in installing the drivers let us know
