Win 7 will not recognize Acer A100 Tablet

Hi, Okay, I feel am feeling kind of stupid right about now. I just bought a refurbished Acer Iconia a100 and I can not get my Win 7 64bit pc to see it. I have installed drivers before for a tablet(Viewsonic G Tablet) and did not have any problems. I have USB Debug enabled I have downloaded "USB_ACER_1.000_A32H_A100" I open the zip file and there is 1 folder(dotnetfx) and 2 files(Acer Driver Installer.msi and setup exe) I run the setup.exe file and everything goes as it should but, whenever I plug in the Acer and windows does not recognize it? I open the Device Manager and there is the yellow triangle with the explanation mark and when I try to update the drivers it says I have the latest drivers? I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling and still no joy

I'm not sure if I understand what you are trying to do. Are you trying to plug the A100 into the Windows 7 PC's USB port like you would an MP3 Player or USB Thumb drive?

EDIT: Also could you post a link to that driver you're trying to install.

win 7 will not recognize acer tablet

Yes that is exactly what I am doing. Also, in the the tablet settings I am suppose to have " debugging enabled" which I do and I did not have ithe tablet plugged in while I was installing the drivers per instructions. I am to install the drivers first and when I plug the tablet in the pc is suppose to recognize it. Here is the address for the driver? Download

If you go to the entry with the yellow ! in device manager, and select properties, it should give you an error or some info as to why its not working.

Google offered up this:
Code 43
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Recommended resolution

One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.

If you have already run the Troubleshooting Wizard, you might want to check the hardware documentation for more information about diagnosing the problem.

It sounds like a driver problem, maybe that driver isn't 64 bit compatible? You could also try installing it in compatibility mode. Right click the setup.exe and go to properties, there should be a compatibility tab.

Yes I had done everything you said except the compatibility check so, I check it but all it had was a "general" tab. I am at a complete lose. I have done this with 3 oter tabs with no problem.

"I have done this with 3 other tabs with no problem" < From the Windows 7 x64 PC? I think its the x64 that's byteing you. 7 x64 pretty well needs 64 bit drivers for hardware. That a100 tablet may be just to old and the driver too out of date. Does it have WIFI, maybe you can connect to it over the network or BlueTooth? I don't own a tablet so this out of my rang of experience.
