    Aero Disable After Catalyst Update

This has happened before, and what I did was just roll-backed everything. I thought I should just wait it out, wait for a newer driver to come out and maybe it'll be resolved, but I guess I was wrong.

My previous version was 12.3, updated to 12.8. The aero theme just disappeared after the update (even before restart), I tried restarting, still the same. Another thing to note is when I open the CCC, it doesn't show the menus.

I ran the Aero troubleshoot, and it says that DWM wasn't running/disabled, but I checked my processes and dwm.exe was running. It also said that my bit depth is set too low, but everything seems fine to me, I'm not sure how I can check this without going into CCC.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64, .NET is installed. What's going on?
    Thanks for any help
I apologize for the large picture.

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried manually applying a aero theme from > Right click > Personalize > Aero Themes?
Have you tried re running WEI?

    Post back for further suggestions

...Didnt work. Uninstalled, restarted, installed. Still the same, doing a re-run for WEI, gonna try rebooting after that.

Run the troubleshooter once again and let it apply the changes.

    Ran before reboot, results:
Colour depth is set too low (Not Fixed)
Desktop Window Manager is disabled (Detected)

In services.msc, DWM is running already.

Have you tried changing the color depth yourself?
