Windows 7 Installation(fresh) problem with Asus K53SM Laptop

    Hi Experts

Yesterday I bought a brand new Asus K53SM laptop, I tried to install windows 7 in it, but unfortunately at the time of partion window, it do not detect Harddisk and says "Mass Storage Controller has no driver, windows update can't find a driver"

I believe that it is not able to find the hard disk.

Also in BIOS, I am unable to see the hard disk, I tried to update the BIOS but it is already up to date. I can see the HDD light blinks when I keep AHCI changed to IDE in BIOS, but not with AHCI.

    Please help me

PS: Tried installation with a DVD and USB stick, Present BIOS 211.

    regards
    Pankaj

Hi, actually it was a new laptop with DOS, I was not able to install win7, but I resolved the issue today, the hard disk was faulty, strange, it was a new laptop. I got my laptop replaced and it is working fine now.

But during installation I have faced another problem. I have installed the win7 succesfully but I was unable to do partition of my 700GB hard disk, in fact I have installed the win 7 without any partition, I thought I can do the partition from inside but in vain.

Can you tell me is there any chance to do partition now. I am on win 7 with 2 hard drives. C-NTFS-689 GB another D-FAT-8.7 GB

I want to do partition from C drive.

    regards
