Different bluetooth adapter seems to help

I'm using build 7057 on a E6500 with the Wireless 410 UWB+BT adapter, and my MX900 Logitech bluetooth mouse sometimes registered, sometimes didn't, but worked only once for like 2 minutes... I disabled the dell bluetooth module and popped in this one and the mouse instantly registered and works perfectly. Maybe it's that the dell vista drivers for the Wireless 370/410 aren't that compatible yet with Windows 7.

    Fixed :)

Hi, I had the same problem as well. My Dell BT Travel Mouse was working before this, until I accidentally pressed the "make discoverable" button, spent hours attempting to solve it by trying various combinations of driver reinstallation, until my Windows 7 crashed and had to start in safe mode....

Anyway, the problem is due to Windows 'thinks' that it has sufficient pairing information, while actually it doesn't. After recovering my computer by swtiching to default drivers, this is what I did:

    1. Download a third party registry editor (e.g. Registrar Registry Manager), because the Windows Registry Editor doesn't allow you to delete certain keys.
    2. Look for the bluetooth MAC address of your mouse, should be on the label under it, e.g. 00:07:61:XX:XX:XX
    3. Search for the MAC address in registry without the colons: e.g. 000761XXXXXX (I just used the first 6 characters, should be rather exclusive)
    4. Delete every occurance. If you are sure that the Key is specific for the mouse, just delete the key. If not, just delete the Value should do.
    5. Restart computer
    6. I don't know if this is relevant, but I uninstalled all drivers under Human Interface Devices in Device Manager, restarted my bluetooth using the hardware switch, wait for every driver to be reinstalled, then
    7. Right click the bluetooth icon on systray, click Add Device. Now the mouse should show up in the device list.
    8. Setup the mouse as instructed, and voila, there I have my mouse working again

Build 7057 fixed the BT mouse problem. But now I have the exact same issue with my Dell BT headphones. They worked before the upgrade and now they don't and I can't pair them. I'll try the registry edit solution.

Hmmm... I am on 7057 and I had better BT performance on the 7000 build. Sometimes 7057 the computer goes to sleep and the BT module never wakes up... Same as Vista. I have to delete the BT hardware out of Device manager and redetect it, it reinstalls the drivers and works fine for a few days...

My Acer BT mouse wasn't working with my Acer laptop running build 7057 (and a previous build as well, but I forgot which one it was). I installed the latest WIDCOMM bluetooth stack and it worked instantly.

Build 7100: BT Mouse works, but not Headphones

I have upgraded to build 7100 (did an upgrade, not a clean install). My BT Mouse continues to work fine. I don't have any suspend/recovery problems. I do still have problems with Dell BT headphones not pairing - not even seen during the pairing device scan.

When RTM version comes out, I'll do a clean install to try to address that problem, but can't afford the massive application reinstall and configuration right now.

This may be useful. I had a similar problem with my genius traveler BT mouse on a Dell M90. It connected right before switching off and on the bt on the laptop, but disconnected as soon as I stopped using the mouse.

Went to devices, opened dell wireles 350 bt module and unchecked the first option on energy admin. Workin normal now.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I am having issues with this and it is driving me crazy!! I installed my copy of Win7 Ultimate on to a Dell E6500. The only drivers which were not found were the Dell 370 Bluetooth module and the Broadcom USM module. So I added the driver for the Bluetooth module from Dell's website and all worked flawlessly. I have reinstalled onto my original HDD after about a week of use now as I was only testing before. Reinstalled the bluetooth driver and now it will not detect my mouse. Nothing has changed, except I have installed my Kaspersky AV this time, but I would not of thought that would make an issue? I dont understand why it would suddenly stop working?! The driver is being detected, just when I click add it sits trying to scan and nothing comes up. Even though I press the discoverable button on my mouse. Anyone know why that might be?
