the 'asus p5e-vm do' is a motherboard model number--not a computer model number and the last drivers written for that motherboard were created in 2007--pre windows 7--there are not any win 7 specific drivers--Vista drivers 'may' work--but most likely you need to update your hardware for win7

    get Vista drivers here

BUT--this could prove to be a daunting time consuming affair--it's probably cheaper to buy a new mobo

yeah the thing is its not my pc, mine is alot better lol. but doing this for a friend and totally dont want vista on there, thats why i was trying to find 7 drivers, was thinkin maybe the lan would be included like some mobo's but not sure, and dont wanna install and have that risk of not being able to finish install. just need to know if theres a lan driver i need or not. if not well no worries but would be nice to know if anyone else has tryed with this asus board.

What tman69 was pointing out is Vista drivers and W7 drivers are often interchangeable.

A Vista LAN driver should work with W7.

The motherboard has an Intel 82566DM PCIe Gigabit LAN controller. A W7 driver is available from Intel here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...adType=Drivers
