the ISO you download to a saved file, burn that file to a DVD, (DVD's are better cause they hold more data than CD's). after burn eject then insert back, restart computer, press any key to begin installation, enter product key and home premium will be installed. longer process than having actual DVD.

From where is the ISO downloaded, and to my Desktop is OK? I wonder if the product key on my Acer upgrade CDs will work in this process?

the actuall full version DVD, after putting in country and language and name, you can delete all partitions and create a larger hard drive. acer had mine 68.9 gb drive c 68.9 gb drive d. its now 149gb..

you have a drive C and a drive D, when installing it will come to partitioning the hard drive, there you can delete all data on drive C and drive D, and then it creates one local drive C thats larger than having two drives C and D.

I know about the drives I have. I meant that I didn't understand when you said, "the actuall full version DVD..."

Are you referring to the system builder CD or to a separate CD? And so I'm burning the entire full version DVD iso file to a blank DVD, ejecting, then reinserting so the system boots into the installation program.

I know you know what you're saying, but that doesn't always guarantee that I'll comprehend it.

sorry, full version it has all the windows features to where as the manufacture deleted them to replace with their software. itll be like you built your own computer but its still a manufacture computer. you will have more start up repair options to diagnose problems. only thing you will need to do is download their vga (display) driver and sound card driver.cant promise you it will fix the webcam problem but you can try downloading the webcam driver for the vista 32bit, some said they used the suyin driver and it worked. mine was installed with suyin, but on factory DVD's it had all three webcam drivers.

Sorry I don't understand the following sentence:

"sorry, full version it has all the windows features to where as the manufacture deleted them to replace with their software."

What does that mean, please? Can someone help?

This is getting way off the easy track here.

One step at a time. First, that wasn't latecomers post with the clean install links.

    This is all you need,

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Using the product key you already own.

The first step is to download and save the ISO file (your desktop is fine) then burn it to a DVD or flash drive as stated in step 2.

The ISO you want to download is the Home Premium x86: X17-58996.iso from the link in step 1.

Once you have those steps done or need help with those post back, forget everything else right now.
