Problem with Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN

    Greetings,
After installing Win7 Prof x64 everything with WiFi was working correctly. Yesterday I wanted to try Vista x64 driver with Connection Utility. In the device manager it shows that device is working corectly but in fact it is not working at all. Uninstalling connection utility didn't help and windows cannot find any driver at the HDD or in windows update.

Any idea what could be done to fix it?

Uninstall it totally, restart, and let Windows reinstall it.

In device manager rightclick on the device, choose properties-> driver tab-> previous driver.

    Good luck

You stated the device manager reports the driver is working ok.

Are you sure it's not something in the cards settings?

Can you post a screenshot of the command prompt after typing: ipconfig /all

It is not shown in ipconfig and when I clicked to "check for solutions" it has shown "probably driver problem" or something like this. So seems he doesn't like the vista driver at all but the question is why can't he install the default driver just like he did right after installing win7?

I'm downloading Win7 drivers for your card right now.

I'm going to check it out before I make a bad recommendation.

    I'll post back in 10min.

Ok, the driver is genuine and it's from 23 august 2009.

After unzipping, there are both the 32bit and 64bit drivers folders.

Just run the iProDifX.exe in the 32 or 64 folder.

I have put the zipfile on my livedrive.

    You can download it here:

    intel_wifilink_124153_win7.zip - Windows Live

    Good luck

I removed the vista driver first so now the device is "unknown" and after I tried to install the one you gave. Nothing has changed. I have also tried manually add the driver but there was no 4965 AGN avalible.

    Maybe this will help somehow:
