    Driver Verifier inquiry.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but what does Driver Verifier do exactly?

I understand it stresses the drivers chosen, flags if faulty and causes a crash (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm currently using it to debug some BSOD's that have been plaguing me, but here where I'm confused. Wouldn't it always crash at some point? If it were the drivers, the system would crash, but if it were, lets say, hardware, the system should crash anyway (as it would be stressed normally).

I ask this because in my attempts to play Borderlands 2, a game that pretty much always crashes with the Verifier off (something I'm currently trying to figure out) it strangely works with it on.

Do I understand it all wrong? Please forgive my beginner-level inquiry. Any reply would be great. Thanks.

You use driver verifier to force crashes in situations in which you do not already have dumps/minidumps available for analysis, the point is mostly to create dumps and logs then switch it back off again.

Borderlands requires .net 3.5 , latest video drivers, and the latest vcredist.
If you already have them you might consider reparing/reinstalling them.

99% of game crashes are caused by either a prerequisite not being met (.net / vc )
the graphics driver is installed improperly or has problems.
    Audio driver.

In some cases specific antivirus apps will cause games to crash.
Sadly I can't give you any reason why it would NOT crash with verifier on, that kind of defies logic.
