    Driver Update

When I go into properties of a particular driver and I click the 'update driver' it gives an option of search automatically computer and internet, when I click this it doesn't connect to the internet and just says 'you have the latest drivers'. How can I make it update and look for it on the internet?

btw in that option of search on computer and internet, it does mention 'unless you have disabled this feature on your device installation settings'. I did choose not to update windows after installation is done during installation of windows. Is this what is it referring to?

Hi device manager is where i think you have tried to update the driver from and it can not always find an update to a particular driver.

a reason for this it checks the microsoft database and it is not always updated by manufacturer's straight away so leading to you already have the latest driver message.

When trying to update a particular driver always visit the vendor website as they will have the latest updates for any drivers that you have installed.

    Please try these now.

With branded computers not custom built please try the computer manufacturer's website first before vendor websites as they will contain any customisations from the computer manufacturer that the vendor driver does not contain.

    Hope this helps.
