Having problems with my SD card reader.
I have a Lenovo y570 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. A couple weeks ago I had my phone replaced under warranty so I bought a new Micro SD card to load my music onto. I have a SD Card reader in my laptop, and a SD to Micro SD adapter. That time it worked, I was able to upload my music onto the Micro SD card with no problems.
Yesterday I decided to put more music on the SD card but windows no longer recognizes the SD card. When I plug in USB devices the computer recognizes them right away. The only thing I've tried is going to device manager > memory technology driver > JMicron PCIe SD Host Controller and JMicron PCIe SD/MMC Host Controller, Uninstalling both then rebooting. The laptop downloaded the drivers after reboot and it didn't fix the problem.
I also selected the update driver option and both are up to date. I had this problem with my last laptop, An Acer Apsire 5253 BZ480 except I bought a Kodak Micro SD card reader and it worked once - after that windows no longer recognized it.
Anyone have a fix for this?
