Windows 7: Avid Mbox and other (Code 28) errors

I'm trying to get my computer to recognize an Mbox 3. It's brand new. My computer is custom built. The manufacturer is BIOSTAR - The model is TZ77A

The hardware i'm trying to install is an AVID Mbox 3. I already have Pro Tools. There shouldn't be much of an issue. I'm getting a code 28. In my 'devices and printers', i'm seeing the name 'Mbox' but with a yellow exclamation point. I've downloaded the latest drivers off the Avid website. I'm not really seeing any other issues online with other people about this product. I feel like it's something in my OS or something. I have Windows 7 professional SP 1.

I've tried rebooting and installing a bunch of times. I've tried installing older versions of the drivers. I don't know what it could be. I know i've had other issues with devices in the past as well. In fact, if i go out and buy any random usb device right now, there'd only be a 1 in 2 chance that it would work on my computer. So, it's really hit and miss for me. I want my computer to start recognizing hardware. It shouldn't be that difficult, you would think. I didn't have much trouble with XP like this. Please help.
