No network adapter found on my toshiba l645-s4102 (windows 7 ultimate)

i updated windows 7 ultimate x32 on my friends computer only to have her computer not have no wifi or ethernet cable access.. i says i have no network adapter. i tried installing the drivers from another computer saving it on a flash drive and installing it onto her computer but after extracting the file the driver setup never appears. ive tried everything and its driving me crazy. i uninstalled the 54mbps network adapter because it says that was the trouble in the beginning. i have no toshiba recovery disc. i dont no what to do

Let me get this striaght; it's a laptop, it came with windows 7 home premium 64 bit (according to spec page), Toshiba Satellite® L645-S4102 14.0" widescreen Laptop (Silver) | Laptops | Computers | us.toshiba.com, you ungraded to windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.

That's going a little backwards on the bit platform because 32 bit OS only uses up 3.2 gig of RAM. The 64 bit OS uses 4 gig or more. Plus the 64 bit OS is much faster. So I would definitely go back to the original OS.
