Judging by HP's website you do not have Bluetooth:

Was the notebook advertised with Bluetooth? Could you please provide a screenshot of your Device Manager?
Start> Type: device manager > Press Enter > Expand Network Adapters
Then screenshot the fully maximised Device Manager window please:

Have you opened:
Start
Screenshot the context menu (drop-down menu) the device which is named your computer (usually username - HP), I have a HP notebook with Bluetooth and I have a Bluetooth settings option available when I right-click my computer listed in Devices and Printers.
So, to summarise:
- Post screenshot of Device Manager
- Post screenshot of Devices and Printers
Sorry. I didn't open a new thread because i have the same problem described above by windows95 member. I have considered not so useful to repeat the same redundant thing opening a new dedicated thread. Anyway, my seller wrote that this model "has bluetooth" but it doesn't seems to be there. Any device is correctly installed and the system runs pretty good. No yellow question marks in Device Manager, no errors at all. Maybe the bluetooth module is unavailable or it is off. I don't know if there's any version of HP 650 notebook that doesn't have built-in bluetooth but it seems that it's really the case.

Have you looked on YouTube to see how to activate your Bluetooth? Have you checked within the All Programs list for any Bluetooth devices?
Thank you for your kind help but i'm a system administrator, so yes, i already tried a lot of things before posting.
I also tried to identify every root id device in the system and none of them correspond to a bluetooth device. I have to suppose that there are some models of HP 650 notebook that doesn't have bluetooth built-in. That's all we know :)
Or maybe there's a hidden setting somewhere (very essential bios and no reference to bluetooth at all) that enables the bluetooth radio device. Anyway, a 5$ usb adapter will solve the problem. Thank you anyway :)
This seems to be an utility-related problem. What are you using as BT utility right now ? Some utilities doesn't create the radio bridge correctly (they don't verify both Mac addresses, just look over frequency and device availability) and there's a simple solution for that: switch on another, better BT managing software :)
If you can read your device ID (using Everest or AIDA or another similar software) we can try to search for a compatible one and figure how to get over this problem.
About the "cheap" one, you can get one too. These ones (www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-USB-2-0-Bluetooth-Dongle-wireless-adapter-for-Laptop-or-Desktop-/150911476482?pt=US_USB_Bluetooth_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item2323066302) are very easy to find nowadays and are not expensive at all :)
I'm using the programs which the OEM included with the Windows 7 operating system package, I've removed some OEM bloatware but no programs related to Bluetooth have been removed. Thanks for the link, however I'm not too bothered not having Bluetooth as I rarely use it anyway and just use my phone's USB transfer cable.
