Acer Bloatware

If and when I get my 64bit version of W7 installed should I install the 64bit Vista version of the Acer eSoftware for it? I take it that it's should work well enough for windows 7?

I wouldn't, since it will bring more bloatware than anything else. I would try to get drivers for the Video & audio and that is it. If it doesn't have them, then go to each manufacturer and get the drivers there.

Video... ATI or Nvidio

Audio... Realtek or ???

If they have done any Bios update, grab them but do them only if you are comfortable touching the Bios... many tears and Kleenex will you waste if you don't know how

I won't be touching the bios.

But Acer has some good backup software and other stuff that I like. So I'll probably still be using it.

Hello, I planned a fresh clean install of Win 7 Pro 64 bits in my Tecra R840 after receiving the new Plextor M5Pro ssd! Since, after the BSOD last week, I have no apps (office, photoshop, etc..that I had before) in it, I'm doing experiments (untill I will receive the ne ssd). I work in a...

HP Bloatware And Beyond
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I've had this laptop for probably over a year now and its been long overdue for a clean up (never did initially). I'll leave all the excess details out of it as much as possible (I rant about it). I have a desktop, its been in pieces since September when...
