Clean install Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, driver help
Hello,
I'm new to building and upgrading computers, so bear with me . I've searched through the forums on various sites and I'm still unsure about what to do. I'm planning on doing a clean install of Windows 7 64bit Home Premium on my computer with a brand new unused SSD. What I would like to know, and forgive me if this is a silly question, is which drivers to put on a flash drive before doing the install. Since I currently have Vista do I copy the Vista drivers to a flash drive or do I download Windows 7 drivers to the flash drive? Also, I can not find the chipset drivers on the HP site unless I choose my operating system as Vista, but this confuses me because I want to install Windows 7, so don't I need the drivers for 7 instead? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I've never done a clean install on a new drive before, so I'm guessing I install the drivers after installing and setting up Windows 7, correct?
Also, I'm not clear on which drivers to put on a flash drive, do I need to have the driver for everything listed in the device manager or just a few important things and let Windows find the rest after installing? If you could break down which drivers would be best to have on a flash drive for the install, that would be appreciated.
Thank you for your help,
Kevin
