    PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_088000
    PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_0880

    iii)3rd Base System Device details:

    PCI bus 7, device 9, function 4
    PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0852&SUBSYS_30CC103C&REV_12
    PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0852&SUBSYS_30CC103C
    PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0852&CC_088000
    PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0852&CC_0880

    iv)4th Unknown Device details:

    on Intel(R) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815
    ACPI\HPQ0007

I have installed NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS for my display card.

It would be much appreciated, if anyone there could help me out by providing the above correct drivers on urgent basis.

Thanks a lot in advance !

    Regards
    Venu !

    Hp dv6700

I was trying to help find the drivers at HP. This page from HP lists numerous DV6700 models which none show drivers for Win 7. Take a look. You may be able to find something elsewhere.

    Win 7 Update

    Two things to try.

1 -- If you haven't allready run windows update. click start, click all programs and windows update should be shown. select it and see if it comes back with any optional updated drivers.

2 -- In device manager double click the device you want a driver for and select the driver tab in the resulting window and select up date from the web. This may find a driver.

The next step is to keep searching and you may find someone else that has solved the problem with another driver.

    Vista

From everything I read it appears that your options are limited to Vista drivers. If You have not already tried them, I would download some vista drivers and give it a go. One thread I read mentioned drivers for the 6900 series.

    Thanks a lot Kellymac!
Your link "Ricoh 5-1 Card Reader Driver HP Pavilion dv6700 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC | HP® Support=" has worked. Sorry that earlier I had replied that its not working. The reason was that I was trying to update the driver by right clicking the item from the Device Manager and it was not updating. Later I just installed sp37809 & sp44777 by directly double clicking the above .exe files and I found that all the three 'base system device' and the one 'unknown device' have dissappeared from the device manager.

I really appreciate Kellymac and HammerHead for all your support extended to me ! Thanks a lot !
