How do I disable USB 2.0 camera auto detection in windows 7

    Hi there,
I have a SONY vaio vpcea16fg , and a windows 7 professional installed on it.
I want to disable windows from auto detecting my built in usb 2.0 camera.
I have disabled UPNP and SSDP services, but it doesn't work. I mean when I restart my machine in detects usb camera and install it again!!!!

I want to disable my webcam auto detection, because there is a hardware problem with my built-in webcam and causes a blue screen error. When I move my laptop's lid, windows detect the camera and try to install it automatically, but after two or three times of detection a blue screen is occurred.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Sinai.

Rather than disable it, why don't you open the case and unplug the camera? Better yet, fix the issue.

I would recommend getting the webcam fixed, however, if you want to disable it go to:

Start > Type: device manager > Imaging Devices > Right-Click Device > Disable

Have you thought about uninstalling the driver for the camera?

yes. I Have uninstalled the driver, but once I move the lid a little, windows automatically detect the usb 2.0 camera device and install it's driver again. I also delete usbvideo.sys from system32 folder, and delete all registry keys about usbvideo!!
after that windows cannot install it's driver, but it still detects my webcam automatically!!
I previously disabled instaling devices via "local group policy editor", but it disables all devices such as flash memories,
    that's annoying.
Is there really a way which I can adjust the windows to prevent auto detection of my camera?

Why don't you just get the camera repaired?

Yea I know that is the best solution, but in our city there is no specialist, and myself don't have any experience
of openning the laptop case!! But I like to do that myself one day

I wanted to know is there a way to disable auto device detection of windows or not? if it is , how? if not, I won't
    search the internet any more.

Have you searched on YouTube for your laptop model?

There is most probably a program which allows you to use the webcam, for instance I have CyberLink YouCam, have you searched for any related programs on your laptop which may control your webcam?

unfortunatly YouTube is forbidden in our country. I use proxifier but still can't open it.
I know there is no programto get control the webcam. when I had original windows, there was a program which was installed by the original windows, but know, I have changed my windows to professional.
Now, I'm sure there is no program.
