Hi ranjay91, Welcome to the forums, Redownload and reinstall the chipset drivers if you have to use the Vista drivers install them in compatibility mode :)
Here is the link http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers :)

Very sorry you feel that way , I do not post to get points ,I post because I want to try to help people with problems
Now on to your dilema , I have found most problems withbase system devices are nearly always down to the chipset drivers not installing correctly the first time round hence I will tell posters to redownload and re install If you would be so kind and tell me which wifi card you have then I may be able to offer a better solution :)

ranjay91, Looking at the Acer website there is a choice of 3 wifi drivers ,Atheros,Broadcom and Intel maybe you are trying to install the wrong driver ? :)

You have got a Broadcom device, not an Atheros one. Many laptop manufacturers use a variety of hardware vendors, so it is possible for some laptops of the same make and model to require different drivers due to them having different hardware.

The driver you require is Acer 5750Z Broadcom Wireless Lan Driver 5.100.235.19
