Control Panel Mouse Applet Problem

Hi to everyone:

First of all, i want to congratulate every person involved with this forum, its awsome!!

Yesterday i tried to change some cursor options and got this:

"shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32\main.cpl," Mouse"

The mouse applet dont work any more, I have an ACER ASPIRE 5536, with no special mouse hardware installed, just the touchpad and a regular optical mouse from logitech.

Please help..... THANKS in advance.

Hi Manimal, sorry to interrupt, I have a the same ACER model like you do, the 5536G

I have opened up a thread for a strange problem I have encountered...have you ever noticed the top right button 'P' used to launch the Launch Manager, does yours light up ? I noticed mine stopped lighting up when I press it. It does work but the LED doesn't light up anymore, I have windows 7 too, but even on Vista it never worked. It only worked when it came out from Acer.

Do you know anything?
Sorry again for disturbing.

Hey Drowsy..

No interruption at all..

In my computer the launch manager key is a normal key with no light, it have the solid blue borders and thats it. Maybe thats the way it is and never light up, you should check it

How to hide mouse cursor while typing Control Panel check box no help.
My googlefu has failed me. Most of the returns are for solutions for the exact opposite (cursor hidden not showing) The ones that are for my trouble send me to control panel check box that I have checked. I am using a Logitech G500 mouse, the bloatware (SetPoint) has no cursor "hide" option. ...

Can't open mouse settings in control panel
When I click 'mouse' in control panel, windows thinks for a second, then just nothing happens - the configuration window doesn't appear. This is annoying in particular because I can't redefine the right side button, which by default opens the magnifier. Currently I have 3 mice installed: -...

I have a Creative Labs and a Logitech z-5500 5.1 sourround system. Originally, everything worked fine so I know this is not a hardware problem. I've recently had to reinstall Windows 7 Ult 64, and now I'm only getting stereo sound out of my 5.1 system. Going into Sounds/Diagnostics in control panel...
