    Videoplayers freezing

    Hello,
I have just upgraded to Windows 7 pro from Vista Ult.
When I try to run any avi file, my player freezes (WMP, GOM player, VNC). Sometimes it runs without problem (after restart).

I know that some users had problems with entire system freezing, but in my case only a player stops responding.

I have nVidia GeForce 8400M G. Tryied to download new video card driver:
NVIDIA DRIVERS 186.81 WHQL But a problem occurred - during installation a error message pop-up. That I don't have compatible HW.

    Thank you for reply.

    • I have Vista codec pack. But freezing problem was before installing this codec pack. Therefore it is probably not the issue.
    • In VLC - same problem.
    • I had no such problems in Vista.

    1. FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS SO WE HAVE MORE INFO TO HELP YOU.
    2. Uninstall VISTA codec pack
    3. cclean your pc registry
    4. restart
    5. Install Mega Codec Pack
    6. test.
    7. If it freezes than it is either your video card and/or drivers OR the Hard drive with the movie on it is at its breaking point.
    8. Good Luck
