Windows 7: No headphones or speakers plugged in.

No headphones or speakers plugged in.

Just finished building a new computer and my sound will not work. I have installed and uninstalled drivers several times now.

Are you using the front or rear io ports? Do you have the speaker icon in the lower right hand corner? Have you gone in and selected the proper playback device?

I have fixed it. It was a problem with my bios settings where the onboard sound card was turned off.
