Carl,

The HTC should come with a disk with the required software on it or have it loaded on the memory card in the phone, though as this is a phone from eBay you might be better getting the latest software from HTC direct Links to the software are on this instruction page

you will be able to install the sevenforums app, and give us live today posts,
if you have a google+ account you can have the phone upload photos you take to your google+ account
then post the image links on the forum . using the little picture icon between the link and quote icons in the quick reply message box
