Have you checked in device mngr to see if their is a little yellow triangle in your sound? If so try update driver. How to find device mngr. I use my computer start menu, right click then click manage. Then you'll see device mngr. clcik on it and check your sound devices . If you know how to use the snipping tool do a snip then use the paperclip icon on the post to attach a snip of your device mngr.

Yamaha Site? What part do they make for the Toughbook? I know they don't make the speaker?

Never, ever, ever download a driver for a Toughbook unless it is either from Panasonic or MS. Your best bet is from Panny, however they are more difficult to install than the norm. Panny is in the middle of changing all there driver installations. Even they admit they designed them on the difficult side.

    Which model is it?

Cool, There are not too many Toughbook fans around here! PM me if you would like some good TB sites to look at.

I have 2 CF30's. A MK2, non touch, then a MK3 W/Touch. I find myself not using the touch as much as I would have thought, but the 1000 Nit brightness is to die for. If you have never seen how bright 1000 Nit's is, treat yourself one day! You can be outside with the sun perfectly reflecting on the screen and you can still see perfect.

If you are into finding, buying and fixing up older Toughbooks let me know!
