Hello! I bought a new PC and I`m experiencing a very annoying problem. My configuration is: CPU: AMD FX 8350, Motherboard: Asrock 990FX Extreme 3, 16 Gb Corsair DDR3 1600, Kingstong HyperkX 3K SSD + WD Caviar Black 64Mb buffer 1TB HDD, Graphics card: MSI 6670 MD2GD3 and a 520W PSU. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a full HD monitor.
When i try running a program that is just a bit demanding for the first time... the mouse freezez for half a second while the program is loading. For example... after i turn on the PC... (i give it time to load up)... when i launch Google Chrome the mouse freezes for half a second. It's trange that it does that only when launching a program for the first time after Windows starts... maybe it gets cached afterwards and somehow that prevents the freeze :| I did alot of testing around (i`m obsessed with this problem) and it turns out that the lag is much smaller if only one dispay is connected to the PC. Usually i have my tv connected to the PC as well, through a HDMI cable... and it's set to duplicate. Anyway, like i was saying, the freeze takes less time when only one display connected, but it still freezes
. Another strange thing: before instaling the video driver
, when it's runing on Standar VGA driver, i can open Google Chrome for the first time for example and there's no freeze, everything loads up perfectly :| Is there anyway to fix this?
LE: Ok, just noticed this. The freeze only happens ONCE. Whenever i run a program that demands some kind of graphics i guess, afterwards... no more freezing. It's like the video card isn't inisialising well untill i run something that demands it... :| If i set the Control Center to run at startup, and only if i activate the overdrive, the system will freeze at startup for a second, when loading the Control Center... then everything is ok. I don't get it... if the video card isn't initialised untill something demands it... how come the display is on and everything looks ok? :|
