Thanks pebbly, those drivers look the ones. Can't seem to find a connector to use with USB port, the one on the scanner has 8 pins but don't seem to be able to find one. How is that plug defined ?

This one is a male round plug about .25 inches with 3 indents on the metal rim. The pins are lined up : 3 at the top, 3 in the middle, 2 at the bottom, all in straight lines.
edit,,,this seems to be MINIDIN-8 (female) Serial, am looking for a USB converter for this, to no avail.

Yes pebbly, that's the one. Can I now use this with a USB converter or do I need some other entry into the PC.

OK., for future reference, this scanner can't be run from a USB port but needs it's own card (must have been one on an old machine of mine). Thanks any-way for all inputs here.
