After installing Windows 7 on desktop - message says -install a driver

hi - I have installed Windows 7 32bit on our church desktop but when I try to get on the internet it tells me "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver."

I took the side off the hard drive and saw the name Maxtor - I used the church's new laptop and googled Maxtor (which is now Seagate) and found I could download a new driver but since I can't access the internet on the desktop and don't need it on the laptop any help you can give me as to how I get the new driver installed on the desktop would be appreciated.

I'm sorry but nothing looks like anything in the system specs link pictures and nothing appears to have names on them - I've looked around a couple of times but nothing is making any sense - maybe I need to take it to an expert? I mean an outside physical expert as opposed to an online expert like you :)
