    bios flashing


    Hi all just wondering how do you flash a bios for a motherboard using a usb?? I have an Asus P5KPL-CM and need the lastest bios cause it fixers a problem i have with my audio....

    if someone could let me know how to go about this i wound be ever so greatful

    NOTE: I have the right bios file.... I have no Floppy drive

    Evening. there are two ways bios can be flashed that vary from computer to computer. the first way to upgrade bios is from within windows. If the file is executable (*.exe) follow your computers documention.

    second is you put the file on a dvd, cd, usb drive and reboot from the media. what kind of comuter do you have?

    can you explain what you mean by what kind of computer i have???

    sorry Im not used to having specs to look at since your mobo is Asus P5KPL-CMyou can go to asus and get the bios flash. On that site it will tell you how to install it

    With Asus can't you use 'EZ Flash 2' with a USB. I have a Asus P5Q Deluxe and use EZ Flash. Read your manual!

    I can't understand it is all if you could help me out that would be great....

    I've never flashed my bios with EZ Flash before

    yeah i am the same but its hard for me to understand it in the manual plus i've never done it before using the EZ flash
