Greetings everyone here at the Windows 7 Forums,
I have a Dell laptop system that has an AMD Radeon HD 7970M Graphics Card. I have recently completed a clean install of Windows 7 SP1 x64, and I need to reinstall all of my drivers
. When I try to install my Radeon's drivers from the resource CD, it appears to install successfully until I reboot.
When I start up my computer again, a balloon flashes saying something along the lines of 'Installing device driver
software'. After a few seconds, it says something like 'Device driver installation failed'. I don't remember the exact titles, but these should do. When I click on the balloon for more info, it shows a red X next to 'Device unplugged'.
What do I do? Does this mean that I cannot use my Radeon graphics card? I would really appreciate support and instructions on what this means and how I can fix it.
