Sorry mate, you shouldn't have mentioned your copy isn't genuine.

    Zero stance on piracy here.

Sorry but we don't help with pirate copies of Windows.

Please install a genuine copy of Windows before asking for any more help.

Ok, right. Looks Like I'm going need to use my windows 8 license instead after all, then. How unfortunate.

But shouldn't this be locked and deleted if it violates the rules? I'm sure an account on here will be useful once I transfer to 8, though, so I probably don't need a ban.

Hutler, Windows 8 sucks if you ask me, open ya wallet up and spend a little on the best OS and buy a legit copy of 7.

Heh. 5 posts in and my name's misspelt for the first time on this forum.

I agree windows 7 at least seems a lot more intuitive than 8, above all, but the thing is I do have an unnused license for it just lying about, so yeah. And thanks for the effort anyway, chaps.

When's win 9 coming out? Only every other installment of Windows is decent. Funny how tjey've held on to this strange tradition.

If you have a licence for 8, install it.

Then Install classic shell which gives you back the start button and menu and let's you bypass metro.

I'm on 8 and its like using a themed skin on seven. It's not a bad OS tbh.

Yeah, I've heard of that. Aren't certain things still really messed up, though? Tje skype client, for instance, I've heard is really awkward or didn't work alreight.

It could be mate, but I haven't used Skype so I honestly couldn't say where it's at with 8 ATM.

I personally haven't encountered any problematic apps, but then again I haven't used them all.

If you jump over to the 8 forums they may have more up to date info than I do regarding Skype.

Whoops, my apologies, if you get a legit copy of Windows 7 I promise to spell your name correctly
